Ever wanted to learn how to navigate by the stars?

In this course, we introduce the fundamentals of Celestial Navigation. This is effectively emergency navigation or what has been referred to as “Lifeboat Navigation”. It is just the minimum knowledge needed to know where you are in the event that you lose power and your GPS along with it. This keeps the material simple and all that is necessary is basic math and an understanding of geography.

We will cover how to find your Latitude and Longitude from a noon sun sight and latitude from Polaris.

The practice sights will be taken from a boat or shore depending on the weather.
