This is a Offshore Passage-making Course administered through American Sailing Association. Those seeking this certification will need the prerequisite ASA certifications. Namely ASA 101, 103, 104, 105, and 106. In addition to the opportunity to achieve the highest level of sailing endorsement offered by the American Sailing Association; eligible candidates will learn how to navigate at sea without the aid of modern electronics with an introduction to Celestial Navigation (ASA 117).
There is a four student minimum.

This trip is perfect for sailors looking for some blue water experience before they sail off into the horizon on their own boat. After completing this passage boat owners will be able to get blue water insurance on their own boats.
This is a return trip from the Pacific Cup so the boat will have all the required safety equipment aboard and two captains so that all watches are supervised.
